Problem when using Rigify on a Character Creator 3 character

hey. I would like to rig this character that I exported from Character Creator 3 with Rigify (I want to practice rigging). Just like in various tutorials I’ve watched, I created the Human Metarig, aligned all bones and would now like to attach the mesh to the actual working rig. But after I tried to bind the character mesh to the generated rig (with parent automatic weights) the mesh doesn’t react at all to the rig, when adjusting it in pose mode. I’ve tried the exact same rig with another character model I downloaded from BlendKit and there it works. So what could be the problem with my character mesh or maybe something else I haven’t paid attention to? Thank you!
