when i try to bake a normal map as the picture show. it dosent give the smooth that it should. it instead gives sharp egdes that the lowpoly model had. dont know what im doing wrong! using Blender 2.53
Are you using a subsurf modifier or multires? It it’s subsurf, make sure the ‘render’ icon next to the modifer is turned on, if it’s multires make sure that the render level is the same as the display level. Then again, it might be something else.
Make sure that both high- and low-poly models have smooth shading set.
