Hi everyone, I ran into a problem while trying to bake textures using the SimpleBake add-on.
As shown in the two images below, in one approach I use the Mix Vector node to combine two displacement maps and achieve the result I need.

However, SimplBake (unfortunately) can only bake a displacement map when a standard Displacement or Vector Displacement node is connected directly to the Displacement port in the Material Output node.
Here’s the error message it’s giving me

So I tried to fix the situation by adding a displacement node directly. And that clump of moss turned into just a green blob. 🥲

If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please let me know… I’d really appreciate it ❤

Usually normal maps shoudl be normalized and when simply mixing this is not the case..

So to properly mix normal maps there is some additional thing to think of .. see:

> **[Blending in Detail](https://blog.selfshadow.com/publications/blending-in-detail/)**

Maybe a vector normalize node makes this able to bake (even if not “correct”) IDK..

> Hello guys! A simple tip for beginners and intermediate blender users! With this post, I hope to help everyone who had the same issue as me. How do we mix a normal map channel from a texture with a procedural texture (like a noise or a voronoi texture)? Here I bring the answer. I made an entire video showing the details and talking about how it works. You can see the complete explanation here in this video: [[How a NORMAL MAP TIP can improve your renderings in 200%] ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfNs40gADZk) In this scr…
