I’m experiencing a terrible performance on a Mac pro 2 xeon nehalem 12 GB ram OSX 10.5.8. Even the renderer is slow. Impossible to sculpt or to model of course. What can I do about it? Please help. v2.53 or v2.49 work fine.
I am on an iMac, 12GB, nehalem quad core, 10.6.2. Apart the occasional crash, things are working pretty well. However, I found that modeling with ref images was pretty slow with r32013 (from graphicall.org) so now I’m working on r31880 with much more success (both of these are 2.54, btw).
Have you tried it with different blend files? (Just open the app and render the default cube, e.g. – still slow?)
Have you tried it with different builds of 2.54 (on graphicall.org – look for ones optimized for os x)?
Apart the occasional crash
I’m seldom experiencing crashes especially using 2.49b. But yes I tried everything. I’m wondering if this is a python problem or what? Or a macOSX10.5.8 issue?
Thanks for response benu.
