I’m totally new to this software and for my school i have a project, animating different lego models.
For a test i created a basic lego model and i try to make a walk cycle. Created the Bone structure and parented it to the model. Everything looks right, but when i test it in pose mode, the model has wired polygones staying at their old position.
I assume, it’s because of the Modelling done with too many single parts, but have a look on your own.
You just need to fix the weight painting. Automatic Weighting never catches everything perfectly. Leave the armature in pose mode and put the model in Weight Paint mode. Select a bone and move it. Look for bits that should follow it but aren’t following and add some weight to them. Repeat until the result is pretty.
ok it works mostly, still one problem with the right arm. the weight painting shows me that everything is marked correctly, but when i go to pose mode, the arm won’t move. just the hand is moving, the rest just stays on the origin position. every modfier is applied, except the armatures, you got some tipps?
