Thank you in advance for helping me get past this thing. It is extremely frustrating.
Okay, so I went through this tutorial (http://www.blendernation.com/tutorials/blender-3d-beginner-tutorial-a-ride-through-the-mines/ ) and everything went fine until the end, when I went to render it out.
The railing is completely visible in the 3d window, but when I render it, it’s gone. The ties and supports are all there, but no rails.
I’ve checked to make sure it’s on the correct layer. That’s not the problem. If it helps, the other objects are meshes and the rails exist as a beveled curve. Forgive me if the answer is obvious, I am fairly new to this…Thanks again.

It definitely should render if you can see it in the 3D Viewport. Is it on a Layer that the Camera can see?

Yep, it’s all one the first layer. That’s why it frustrates me so much…
Thanks for the reply.

Oh my LORD if I had the money I’d pay you.
Currently, your status in my eyes is that of: God.
I will direct my sacrifices accordingly.
By the way, I spent the better part of an hour tinkering around, toggling options, shifting values…how did I miss trying THAT! mutters
Thanks again.
