problem with enabling luxblend25

Hello community,

I don’t know why but I can’t enable the luxblend25 add-on in Blender 2.61.
I have luxrender installed and have placed luxblend25 in the add-ons folder. (I’m running windows xp and vista, and both the paths are: C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender 2.61\2.61\scripts\addons)
I have used luxrender in the past (with blender 2.56,7,8 releases) but I’ve never ran into a problem like this before.

Basically, the add-on appears in the user preferences, but won’t allow me to enable it.

Hi,

I’m not sure if this can help you. A few days ago I tested an addon named BLAM, and I noticed that besides copying the .py in the addons folder, I had to install it from the Addons UI also.

If you are using the development version of luxblend25, it’s not compatible with 2.61, you’ll need to use svn blender or the 2.62RC when it’s available.

Thanks for the information, J_the_Ninja.

I found Blender 2.58a on my hardrive, so I installed luxblend25 and I'll just use it until there's a new release of it. I wanted to use Luxrender in a short film I'm making, but I've decided I'll just BI for the animation, but stills on the other hand...
