problem with keyboard sensor in game

I’m trying to animate a T rex model in the game engine. Its fairly basic just a keyboard and action sensor that makes a walk cycle occur when the up arrow is pressed. The problem is when I run the game engine nothing seems to happen. I’ve done this several times with other armature models and it worked so I’m not sure where I am going wrong this time.

Could anyone offer any suggestions please (please find attached file)

On the trex model, move the “Armature” modifier to the top of the stack using the arrow buttons. “Mask” has to be underneath.
