problem with normals


Im having problems with the normals in my object im making. Ive been recalculating while i modeling but now still have a lot of normals on outside of object and when i recalculate i disfigure the nose area.

Does anyone know how to cure this and does anyone know what ive done wrong?.

All normals should be pointing out. Just select all and hit ctrl-N. The distortion around the nose is just a problem with your topology that becomes more obvious to the eye when the normals are set properly. Your mesh just needs improvement. I recommend you have a look at this to learn good face topology.
