Problem with particles in Cycles

I encountered a problem using particles in Cycles. Every time i use transparent objects for particles in large quantities i see those solid black shapes appear.
I was thinking of submitting it as a bug but maybe I’m just making some kind of stupid mistake in the setup.
Could you please take a look at the example file ?

In the Render / Light Paths panel you could increase the maximum number of Transparency bounces
