Hello, please help me solve a problem with transferring poses/animations using Auto-rig pro.
Until recently, I was creating NSFW animations in Koikatsu, which I had mastered about 85-90%. And then I recently decided to switch to Blender. At first, everything went well, and after poking around with the buttons, I even managed to create a few simple smooth animations for the body, after which I decided to tackle a full-fledged NSFW animation. I downloaded a rather complex model (from Nyl2) and continued working with it. And that’s when I ran into my problem:
The thing is, I’m used to creating animations/poses from “templates” rather than from the T-pose. So I decided to download several projects that had the poses I needed and transfer them to the “pose library.” I saved the pose I needed in the User Library (located in the Asset browser), but when I applied it to the model from Nyl2, the model did not assume that pose (nothing happened at all). Then I learned that all the names of the “bones” must match. After that, I decided to use the Auto-rig pro add-on, which, according to the assurances, can transfer poses to models with different bone names.
In short, no matter what guides I looked at and what I clicked on, even with this add-on, the poses were not transferred. In short, I will describe the steps I take to transfer poses, and maybe you can tell me what I am doing wrong:
First, I load both models into my project. The first model is called “Nualia” — this is the model to which I want to transfer the pose. At the moment, it is in the A-pose. The second is called “Licy” — this is the model from which I want to take the pose. Both of these models are in Pose mode.
After loading the models, I open ARP (auto-rig pro), where I open the “remap” tab. In the “source armature” field, I select the ‘Licy’ rig, and in the “target armature” field, I select the “Nualia” rig. After that, I click the “build bones list” button, and the lower field is filled with the names of the bones. The “source bones” and “target bones” have different names, and some of them even say “none.” After that, I check the “set as root” box and click the “re-target” button. A window appears where I click the “ok” button. After that, Blender freezes for a few seconds and that’s it. The pose is not transferred.
I also tried using “redefine rest pose,” where I selected “current pose,” after which everything was reset and new buttons appeared: “copy selected bones rotation,” “cancel,” and “apply.” . I clicked “apply,” after which everything returned to normal, and I repeated the previous step (with “set as root” and “re-target”). But the pose still isn’t transferred.
I also tried using “mapping presets,” where I selected ‘import’ - “auto-rig pro (fk arms, ik legs)”. After that, Blender gave me the following error:
After that, he completely deleted all bones from the “build bones list”.
Can anyone advise on how to solve this problem? Blender version – 4.1 K-cycles.
