Hello guys, can someone tell me whats going on with this weird Edge effect on this sphere ? Looks like an grid effect but just noticed it right now after fine tuning some hair stuff. Any chance to get rid of it without replacing it with a new sphere ? i put some hair on it, so thats why i dont want to delete it in the first place 
Looks like you have double edges in your geometry and a subdiv modifier. Perhaps accidentially beveled all edges with a value of 0.
