hi i am having problems using the face tool. I need a circle shape for a sign i am making however have frustratingly found that using the F key, the normal key for creating faces does not create a face for it. I am using a 16 sided circle i just spawned using the space bar key menu. I go into edit mode, select all the verts but it does and press f but no face appears and nothing on the menu the f key creates works either. What am i doing wrong
press Shift + f, or you can select 4 vertices at a time and then press ‘f’, or you could create a cylinder and then just remove everytihing but one end of it. These 3 methods produce different kind of faces, the first one just adds triangles (that can be joined to quads, the second one can be used for making quads directly, and the third one gives you a circle built of triangles joined at the center
Or you could select all the verts in your circle, extrude them one, scale the extruded ring down to zero and Remove Doubles.
