Problems getting an Addon to work

Hi there, I origionaly posted this in the tech support section of this forum, and it was suggested that maybe “this addon is not up to date for 2.59”. Bellow I pasted my origional post. If anyone has any further insight into this addon, that would be much appreciated.

Hi there, I’m having some trouble getting this addon to work. I’'m sure I must be doing something silly, but if anyone can point out what I may be doing wrong, I’ll thank you now.
Here’s the addon:

I tried installing addon using the install addon button in the user preferences, and nothing.

I tried copying the down loaded .py file to here:
C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.59\scripts\addons
…and got nothing.

I tried here:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.59\scripts\addons
…and got nothing.

Is it the script? Or please tell me it’s me because I’d really like to use this addon.

hi, try this version.
https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-extensions/contrib/py/scripts/addons/space_view3d_manipulator_Menu.py
put it in your addons folder, activate it in userprefs > addons.
Ctrl/Space to use.

I’ve been bemoaning the loss of this functionality in Blender for a while now. This simple little thing, makes me so happy… it’s kinda nuts.
