Problems in EDIT mode

Hi there,
this is probably a stupid question, since I’m new to the whole modeling thing in general ,and blender in particular.
After trying the extrude and distortion function in blender, I can’t create new Objects (2D or 3D doesn’t matter) without having them distorted when I try to move, rotate or rescale themhttp://picasaweb.google.de/DerEnterich/UnbenanntesAlbum#5377589058267368370

I’m out of ideas and f****ing annoyed. Dunno what to do. Does it have to do with the snap function!???!

You have activated the ‘Retopo’ button in the Mesh panel. Deactivate it and things should be fine again

Wow…thx …big thanks. The menu is really confusing at first, especially when u’re used to that drop down stuff…
