Problems in rigify

Hello to all. Well, I’m creating a character for some tests … And I’m having trouble moving parts of the body, especially the arm … I have looked at “Weigth Paint”, but is not helping much.

Want you to help me in this.

Here are some pictures below:

From the picture it looks like the bones are placed too high. Also, go into the armature tab, and check off “Bone Envelopes” and see if that helps…

you have way more bones than you need for this model and none of them seem to be in the model properly. and why do some of your bones look stretched? i didn’t know you could even stretch octahedral bones

delete it all and start over. use a single bone for the head, lose the shoulder bones. you only need one set of finger bones and the thumb bones. spine and pelvis can be ditched the only extra bones needed are the eye bones.

Ok, I’ll take a look …

should be something like this, http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad229/0----Chris----0/random%20blends/ball_man_thing_zpsd0d709e7.png

where you have a single bone for the body, an upper arm, lower arm hand and finger bone. you can then parent a bone to the hand for the thumb.

the legs are exactly the same exept the finger bone is the toe bone and there is no need for a thumb.

parent with automatic weights and then weight paint away the areas that are not needed.( you will catch most of the head on the upper arms ).

you can then go in and start to add your IK bones if you need them.

using the rigify tool on simple models is overkill.

Hey, thank’s. That helped me a lot!
