Problems running on OSX 10.4.8

I’ve just downloaded blender-2.42a-OSX-10.3-py2.4-powerpc.dmg

The dmg opens with no problems. I copied the files to the Apps folder but when I try to launch blender it appears to open but nothing happens. No indication of Blender running in the the activity monitor.

Am I missing something? Is there something I’m not installing?

ps. I think you are having python problems. Check if you are running python 2.3 or 2…4 and download the correct version of blender.
