Meh, I just started a new project and was trying to upload background images for referance. But they won’t appear. It doesn’t even say I’ve selected an image to put in there. I tried to do this since I downloaded 2.40. is this a bug? Does anyone else have this problem?
K, not sure what you know so I’ll go noobie style.
Click the View option at the bottom of the main 3D view window and go to Background Image. A box shows, hit Use Background Image, then open up a new Background Image there.
The image will only show in non-ortho and only when you’re using Top, Side or Front views, (7,3,1).

Background Image doesn’t work in a lot of CVS builds.
Ok, maybe i wasn’t clear enough. I do that, but it doesn’t select an image. I click on the little button, do to the screen to select an image, select it, hit “select image”, and then it doesn’t do anything… whats the deal?
Convert the image to TGA or PNG, that is, if you haven’t. Some JPG, bmp, and a few others won’t load correctly.
Make ure that the image is not an Alpha channel (just a thought)
Also, try holding the Ctrl key on the keyboard when clicking the icon to open the image folder(s).
