Problems with built blender

Hi all
I’m running Ubuntu 11.10 and have built my own Blender using cmake but whenever I start it I get

connect failed: No such file or directory
ndof: spacenavd not found
AL lib: pulseaudio.c:331: PulseAudio returned minreq &gt; tlength/2; expect break up

All works fine until I try to import a video clip and then Blender crashes
also when I try to import a sound clip I get “File “/home/etc…” could not be loaded.”

How can I sort this stuff out?

That may not be a Blender problem, try searching ubuntuforums.org with the pulseaudio error.
