shut up you guys! LOL girls girls girls!!! mmmmmmmmmmmm!!! LOL they drive me crazy…oops! sorry…
ok gfx idiot is right, just relax and enjoy life while you are still young and free.later you will be married and with children, then you will see things diferent. And cubefan you are a lost case.LOL if you don’t want to give my advice (and other people’s) a shot, then don’t come here crying “i don’t have a girl,i’m a geek,i’m a dork” LMAO he he!
Paragraph 1 Response: Huh? They’re NOT?! Wow! (First decent thing I’ve learned all day! Of course, it’s 8:03…)
Paragraph 2 Response: Heh. Amazing. You have ONE good joke up your sleeve. I don’t want to see anything else coming out of your clothes
Really, you do have a point. The only reputation I have at school is being a jerk who insults people whenever they talk to him. “You want to sit with us?” “No, I don’t know where you’ve been.” (I always use that. Kudos to John Cleese and Fawlty Towers!) I make pointless references to movies nobody’s heard of at my school (i.e. Guy Ritchie, namely “Snatch,” which boggles me since you’d think they’d like Brad Pitt, who I always imitate–insanansina, hashta? Ah! Like that scene), and often just sit there staring into space thinking of “Run Lola Run.” My reputation isn’t the same everywhere.
Thank you, Britney Spears… er, Gargola.
But I AM a dork! I mean, really, who else but a dork would listen to the Offspring, read Orson Scott Card, and watch “The Mothman Prophecies”… all at once?
I WANT to give your advice a shot. But to quote “Back To The Future,” “What if she says ‘no?’ I don’t think I could take that kind of rejection…” --Crispin Glover/Bob Gale/George McFly
Now, I have your guys’ advice printed out. I’ll take it to school and try it out. Or maybe I’ll just read it thinking, “Can’t do that… can’t do that… CAN do that, but don’t want to admit that they’re right… can’t do THAT… WHOA! You can get AWAY with that?!”
Thanks for the advice, guys. I’ll try it out… one of these days. (Yes, I’m that hopeless.)
Hi, can I say something? It seems you worry too much about your taste on movies. There are other things to talk about than movies. Besides, if a girl liked you (or vice versa) enough, I guess your relationship would surpass (I hope it’s the correct word…) your tastes on movies. At least I don’t care what movies guys do or don’t like, everybody has their own interests. I think it’s a good thing you like what you like, that makes you special, CubeFan. You stand out from the grey masses of teens, where everybody like the same things and do the same things. I’m probably the only girl in my school, who 3D-models and plays games. At least I don’t know anyone else who does.
Man, this is my longest reply yet!
At least I don’t care what movies guys do or don’t like
Yes, but your’e 16… and a girl!!! Your’e not capable of understanding the depth of the poor childs’ plight, his fate. I mean, imagine sitting staring off into space thinking about some movie no-one’s heard of before when there are (dare I mention it?) girls, right there, within reach… touchable…
Took me a while before I understood what you meant. Still not sure, though. If we had a situation like you described, I mean a girl within reach, why would you think about some movie at that moment? Except when it’s a non-romantic situation and the conversation is about movies, and it turns out the girl hasn’t heard of some movie, she could always go see it somewhere and then discuss it. Am I making any sense?
Just forget about women until after graduation. All a relationship will do at this point is distract you from your studies, and then what do you have? Whenever you do find a woman after high school that you want to spend the rest of your life with no one will hire you because of your school records, even if you have proven yourself to be competent, and flipping burgers won’t really make a life for you.
I am speaking from experience. Don’t even think about trying to start a relationship in junior high or even high school. Use the time to better yourself so you can provide a life for a young mademoiselle on down the line.
dwimitch, I agree that Cube’s studies are very important… And I do hope that Cube understands that… He is building his own future right now and he sure needs to be concentrated on his lessons…
On the other hand, teenage love, is something very sweet… And he who misses it, is a very miserable soul…
Maybe a little balance between girls and lessons, wouldn’t harm Cube’s future…
Ohhh… and Cube, I’ve said that again, I’ll say it one more time… Quit the crap… If you like a girl go and tell her… Say it straight… The worst thing that could happen, is to say to you: “No!”
So what??? Big deal…
But unless you talk to her, ou won’t know for sure and I think that’s even worst…
I AM english, my family is english and I live in england, and minging is an English word, you Scots just nicked it off us.
P.S. this is all pointless, spend more time in the WIP, Finished and Questions forums and the world would be a better place (well the Blender part of it at least).
P.P.S. mathematically it can be derived that girls are the root of all evil (from commonly held expressions). Well… you learn something new every day (and usually it pushes something actually usefull out of your brain (but w.t.f.).
P.P.P.S there is a fine line between spam and insight, but not on this thread…
As Bill and Ted once said: Be excellent to one another
As someone once said: Life’s a Bitch, then you marry one.[i]
Sily, you make sense to me, to relate to people you have gotta talk about something relevant to both of you. Its like I said before if you pay more attention to the person in front of you and less to your own ego, then things progress.

Well for Cube that would be a big deal. Cube you have got alot of defence mechanisms going there, like putting others down before they might put you down, talking about things(movies) you know goes over their heads, and making jokes out of everything. I can understand that as school can really suck and people can be nasty pieces of work. But remenber, it ain’t who you really are, don’t paint y’self in a cube, Cube.
I reckon you are a smart kid, and like most boys your head aint fixed too firmly in the here and now (meaning spending alot of time thinking about sci/fi fantasy, books, movies, ideas etc), you say you have crushes on huge amounts of girls, but thats coz you ain’t got a solid idea of who any of them are. Nothing will change till you drop those defenses a bit and look around at the kids around you with open eyes, neither better nor worse than y’self.
And I’m already miserable. That might explain it. Or maybe it’s just school. Or my annoying brother who won’t shut the fuck up.
You obviously didn’t learn that from the Teletubbies, one being gay and making out with the others. BTW: Have they shown their true agenda on those things on their stomachs yet, the evil one himself, Hitler? (Conan O’Brian made that one up.)
Anyway, I’m still nowhere near any girls I like. All 3 that I’ve narrowed it down to are sitting about close to me as a Doritos bag with a fetish for sideburns being close to a flying television set. (Sorry, had to go Python there for a second.)
Probably.
(SPOILER ALERT TO CLERKS!)
I wish it were as easy as in “Clerks’” ending, where two drug dealers tell the main clerk (about two of his girlfriends, one of which is catatonic after f*cking a dead guy and another having sucked 37… you get the picture, but the “37” girl having brought him lasagna earlier for lunch): “You know, there are a million fine-looking women in the world, but not alll of 'em bring you lasagna at work. Most of 'em just cheat on ya.” (Of course he figures out that he loves her… only to find that his friend has told her otherwise!)
