Problems with sun light and cilinder

Hi, I’m creating a simple scene for a university exam and I’m having some problems with a cilinder used as sky!
When I say to blender to render the cilinder it seems to affect the light made by the sun!

These are the rendering results:

What can I do to solve the problem?
These are the settings for the sun:

and these are the settings for the cilinder:

Thats because the sun lamp is ‘infinite’, so the light goes in the direction the sun is pointing, but it does not come from the sun lamp itself.

The cylinder is blocking the sun.

Thank you! So using another kind of light I should solve the problem?

What kind of light can I use?

Other solutions if you want to use a sun lamp:

In the material for the cylinder disable the ‘Traceable’ tickbox in the Options section. The raytrace shadow calculation for the lamp will ignore the cylinder.
or
Put the cylinder on another layer and in the lamp settings enable the ‘This Layer Only’ option so it only affects objects on the same layer as the lamp. Since the cylinder has a Shadeless material it does not need the lamp to show it

Thank you very very much! Without the option “Traceable” the problem seems to be solved!!!
