This is a little character i’m creating to use in a 3d short. hes not compeltely finished i still have to work out the textures on him and the lens. i also need to make some new arms for him.
He looks really neat. You have a texture stretching at the cube he stands on. Try to use Cube map input.
Nice model, hard to tell details with that much reflection.
This guy must be who goes throughout the uffizi gallery and organizes all of those thousands of floating spheres and cubes, millions of rings, and shiny suzzanes.
So you just use an HDR image in Yavray, and it looks that reflective? I’m trying to create a similar shininess. The stand he is one is a little to simplistic, I think it could use a bevel.
Womball: not necessarily.
The amount of reflection is mostly based on the material settings which are a bit different when you choose Yafray.
It’s a bit dark, can’t see much detail in the black.
P
In guessing that the seam is intentional? and the background looks pixalised
Katsuro, that’s because the background is one of those free HDR images.
They’re too small so they pixelise.
Best way to avoid this is render it without the background and put another one behind it. Preferably with the same lighting conditions.
