hi
somehow i do not fin the tutorial talking about creating real good looking wood with colorband and noise.
it also deals with using the null for object space to rotate the wood origin very comfortable.
anybody knows where it is?

there is something like that in the blender 2.0 guide
http://download.blender.org/documentation/NaN_docs/Manual2.0/MaterialTexture.html
(scroll down to just before the textured cube, sphere, plane… … near the end)
yep that is the wood example i was looking for. there is a tutorial with it but the pictures were enough to tell me the way.
darn it is so simple…
