Procedural textures


I’m now finished with the tutorial about how you can create different types of procedural textures without using any image textures at all. I walk you through how to use “vector curve” and the “math node” with suggestions on how to create circles, frames and different patterns and combining them easily.

I also show how to take that procedural texture and convert it to image texture with a glossy and bump map.

i wish to know the best method to build a slope shader,like the landscape render terragen has.


For that you should use the normal input in the texture coordinate. I’ll go through it here for those just started using the nodes (will come a more advanced tutorial later on):
