Right now I am working on a scene to add it to, and maybe we can expect a yafray render or something of the model in-scene later.
boom, nice modelling, i digg the style!
Wow!
Nice textures…How do you do that?!
Groovy!
How did you do the texture part, where the color fades from the edges of the polygon? You did it with blend-texture, right? But how?
ehh, just paint the edges of the texture darker…?
isn’t it just one square texture assigned to every face? (well most of em that is).
whow dewd thats impresive I was doing the same thing but mines r ACs why dont u check it out and tell me what u think and what can be done to imporve it…
even better, make a new thread in the wip forum
Ok, to the person who said paint the edges: Wrong.
There are no painted textures here, just a bunch of procedurals that have been applied differently. In this case, it is a colorbanded blend(alpha0-black) that is applied standard UV to the entire model.
it looks a little dark needs more light or something. so that you can see it better…
I’m working on a new render right now, but until then:
Nice model. Looks complicated. The red kinda looks like suede :-?
Beautifully done. Looks great!!
Just the right amount of dirt with clean and in the right spots too.
BgDM
Looks great (and I love this model). How about some mud/dust on the feet?
it looks better now that you can see it better i like the modeling.
Currently this model is not placed in a scene, and in a state of just being cleaned off and prepped for duty. The actual render that I am working on has a bit more dirt and stuff on it.
Aaah! Thanks mate! I’ve been trying to figure out how that effect could be done with procedurals so hard that my head hurts
Could you please show the exact settings for that texture, or perhaps write a small tutorial?
I might write a tutorial on the materials a bit later. Until then I direct you here to see the finished render: https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13170
