Has anyone else noticed that blender gets increadibly slow after a short while working on a file? My system slows down way too much. Why is that? I have an AMD 64 3200 with 1.5 gigs of DDR and a Radeon x200 graphics card. I have noticed the same on my desktop which is a pentium 4 2800 with A brand new Radeon X1300 (512 DDR) and 1 gig of system memory. I really dont think it is my system. Please help.

Do a search on using the ATI card. ATI cards are many times “bad news” for things that aren’t “just Windows and Direct X”.
Anyway, do a search and you’ll find lots of answers – but what worked for me was copying a certain DLL file (don’t remember which) to the Blender directory.
update your driver to the latest one by going to ati.com
the dll you are looking for is the ATI openGL driver, download different versions and see which one works best. filename is atioglxx.dll put is under the blender directory where blender is and everything should be fine.
