I was taking a break from thinking out some new stuff for the Layer Manager and started Blending my kitchen in preparation for a remodel.

Anyway, let’s see if I can explain it…

I modified my edge intersection script into a “Projection Merge” script. What it does is take two non intersecting edges and projects them to find where they do intersect. One vertex of each edge is then moved to the intersection point.

At the moment the script is a hacked version of my intersect script but if any architectural modelers out there would like to get a copy of this I’ll get it cleaned up and released.

Too lazy to make images but perhaps this will do:

Take these two cubes ( +…+ is a selected edge)

       . .
       . .

. .
. .
........ .
       . .
       . .

Does it work for non-perpendicular walls as well?

It looks interesting

It will work with any non-parallel set of edges as long as they intersect at some point along the projected path.

Version 1.0.0 released (and original post updated). If interested please visit the script’s download page

interesting script, quite useful in the proper scenario indeed
