Prolly a noob question about wireframe

Hey everyone,
I’m new here and I seem to be having a problem when modeling in Edit mode. When I go into Wireframe 2 faces are still displayed as solid. The first face(plane) I had created in the mesh before adding a mirror modifier and extruding. This is not a problem in Object mode. Anyone know why this is occurring and how to fix?

Screenshot and blend file ?

Here are the files. I apologize if they’re too big but I wasn’t sure of the required size for a screencap. You’ll note that the model is a little bigger than the one earlier mentioned with some additional extrusions and a Level 1 Subsurf added. Thanks…

Those faces aren’t solid, just active. If you go into face select, and select other faces, the highlighted faces will move.

Ok thanks. Is there a way to avoid showing filled in faces in wireframe mode though? The older Blender used to display an active face there by highlighting the border of the polygon…

in the user preferences, -->> themes -->> active vert/edge/face -->> reduce the alpha. It’s a bit ofa workaround…

Thanks for your help Daren. How do I mark a thread as solved? Or do the moderators do that?
