I think a feature that would be cool in blender is a different type of face making method
sure you have shift f, and f, those work niceley, but when you get a tad complicated, it takes a good while to do so I think a feature would be something like a number scale of 3 to 4 closest vertices to make a face on-
so it would be like “make nearest 3 vertices selected a face” or four, so it would make every 3 closest vertices that you have selected a face, I think this might help out with some models, who knows
in 2.28 we have the cool draw face and draw edge and alt-RMB edge selection (alt-ctrl-RMB in 2.28a)
alt-RMB select one edge of face, ALT-RMB-shift select other side of face, ok 2 operations, if only we could have face select mode in edit mode like wings…mmmmm
if you have 200,000 vertices set up into little squares that are spaced apart, you wouldn’t want to select every four vertices individually, you’d want a new feature that could take care of those 200,000 some odd problems
it would work like Auto face. Hard to explain, but easy to understand .
Pretty much like select edge connect to next edge that does not have a face in the path of edge to edge.
oh cool I didn’t know about that feature… that is purty useful, but the “new” feature I’m suggesting will work a heck of a lot better in some certain situations than shift f… then again, it may be just me putting myself in these situations, so it takes me longer but still, when you model from the ground up, I think it’d be useful, at least for a try- I’m no coder, so I don’t know how it works- but it’s just something to think about…
