Hi all, First time submitting anything to BlenderArtists.
Thought that maybe someone could give me some constructive feedback on my first “serious” blender artwork.
Iv’e worked on this “on and off” for quite some time and decided yesterday that I was basically finished.
I can’t say that I’m super satisfyed by how the wood on the edge of the pen looks. But have no Idea what’s wrong with it, but I guess there is allways going to be something that’s not 100%.
Nice work. I like the idea of how the edges of the sword’s blade is parallel to the edges of the pencil. Again nice work. I can’t find anything unsatisfactory about it
Exceptionally well-done. Nominated for the Gallery.
Also: this image has serious commercial possibilities, and I would suggest that you secure proper copyright to it and put it on the market promptly. It would be easy to print, it has space top-and-bottom for text insertion (or could support the use of text-above or text-below), and it has an arresting and immediately obvious visual message.
Frankly, don’t sweat the small stuff like exactly how the edge of the wood looks, or how the steel looks, because the necessary, subtle visual details are there. (Again: " ") You will always be your own worst critic of your own work, and of course you should be. But sometimes that can guide you wrongly.
I’m quite new to creating 3d images and such (only really done photography and video stuff before) so I’m quite intrested about what you mean with “serious commercial possibilities”?
And how would I “secure proper copyright to it and put it on the market promptly”?
Is there like a website I could upload it to where some sort of “comerciall-agents” would look at my work or something?
Of cource Iv’e done all the modeling from scratch. All of the textures are completly done by me, exept one which I modifyed heavilly though.
I also uploaded it with a “creative commons licens -share-alike non-commercial” So if someone wants to use it comercially they’d have to buy the rights from me.
