Proxy and rendering problem

Hi All,

I have created a library of characters and objects in 2.53 and created them as groups within each of their respective files. I am now importing the group objects and creating a proxy on the armature. Everything works as expected except when I render. The proxy rig stays in one spot and the mesh is moved (to the right atm) away from the proxy rig so in the rendered camera view the object is no longer there. If you then select the proxy rig, and move any part of it, the mesh will snap back to the rig in pose mode. If I then render again, blender will crash. If I animate the scene everything is ok. I have spent sometime trying to work out what is wrong to no avail. I must add that on the odd occasion, everything works ok. Any suggestions would be helpful!!
