Hi, I’m making an animation for a parody and I just want to know if it’s possible to put an audio track into the timeline so I can hear it while I animate and it’ll be in sync with the song.
Hey!
Thats just what im doing at this moment ;). Just open video sequence editor and open sound file and place it on timeline.
Thats it take care…
Or place a Speaker object in your scene and browse to a wave file.
I’ve been battling the audio component in Blender for four days now. Trust me… just putting audio in doesn’t work. Even after checking ‘audio sync’ the length of the audio is longer then the video. (The video it is connected with plays for forty seconds, the audio goes on for a minute.) And I can’t fix it.
Please god… tell me that there is some kind of audio editor in Ubuntu I can go to? I’d love to just use Blender for it, but I can’t take this anymore. There has to be a sane audio editor somewhere?
You did match the FPS of the Blender scene to the FPS of your video correct?
Trust me, just putting audio in does work. I do it all the time for the 11 second club animation, (I never get to finish my animation in time, but that’s not because of audio problems, it’s my work flow…). To get my audio to work in blender, I download the month’s audio file. it’s in .wav format. Load it in the video sequencer and set it to start at frame 1. In the timeline’s playback menu, I check ‘audio sync’ and ‘audio scrubbing’. I also set the sync mode in the timeline to av-sync, and I’m good to go…
If you really want some help, help your self by supplying more information. What were your steps to put the audio file in? Did you use the VSE? How long does the VSE say your audio clip is? How long is the clip supposed to be, 40 seconds? Or better yet, zip the .blend file and audio file together, upload it someplace, and post a link so someone can take a look and see what is going on.
Normally AV sync problems are the opposite of what you have, your audio is playing longer than the animation, usually it’s the other way around. The animation takes more time to playback than the audio.
