ok…
using Blender 2.4a RC1.
used the particle hair tut with curve guides.
now, i need to PUT THE DARN HAIR ON THE HEAD.
BIGGEST PROBLEM: THE FRINGE
how on EARTH do you make the fringe look good??? im making a female character and i just CAN NOT get the stupid fringe to look good on it.
problems i encounter:
- hair looks like little black bugs on her head.
- goes doesn’t go on the sides of her head, only the top. and when i make it go through the sides, it looks terrible.
- sometimes it looks good in side and perspective view, but looks really crap in front view.
- bald patches.

and no matter how hard i try, the hair screws up.
im trying to make her have long black hair. but the fringe makes it look really stupid. see the first image? the one with hair? that is the type of fringe which makes me feel like to puke.
im aiming to get the type which splits down the middle.
googles up a woman with a similar hairstyle to what i am aiming for
