Puzzling Puzzle

Here is my quandry:


Ok, what I want to do is bevel the piece to make it more realistic, and so that I can smooth it and subdivide it also. Anyways I cant for the life of me figure it out… If only there was some really cool scaling technique or something… Anyways any advise would be greatly appreciated!

You might experiment with Bezier curves for this kind of modeling. It takes a while to get used to but there are several good tutorials available. Here is a quick test of a corner piece.



I used a width of 0.25 and a bevel of .05.

Have you tried “Shrink-fatten along normals”? This must works, maybe with some tweaking depending on your shape.
