Python 2.3 Is it safe to install ?

I heard a few reports of it doing a little harm in some areas.

Any clues ?

I am thinking of installing Game Python. But do not want to kill my useage with Blender.

Since i’ve installed python 2.3,
yable + yablex don’t work anymore…
