ive been using blender2.49b under python 2.7 and in the command window it says compiled with python version 2.6.2.‘import site’ failed; use -v for traceback
checking for installed python… no installed python found.
only built in modules are avalable.some scripts not run.
just wondering if this will have any effects on blender and its features?

without python 2.6.x installed - the only effect: some scripts will not work.
But why not install it - there can co-exist multiple versions of Python on your system.

blender now says checking for installed python…got it
i was a bit afraid before that having 2.7 and 2.6.2 istalled on the same machine might cause an issue but there are no problems so far.I was also having trouble getting yafaray to work but now it works fine.

It exists a version for Windows 32 bits and python 2.7 but not official at all.
