I was reading BlenderArt #8: Car Modeling just a couple of minutes ago. On page 51 there is a screenshot of Blender where the screen is split into 4 “3D View”, and one of them is the “Back View”.
When using the NumPad shortkeys, or the view-menu on the header, I can only find these options: Side, Front, Top, User, Camera.
Does anybody know how to change to, for instance, “Back View” and still have the grid displayed and a background-image?
Thanks & Happy Blending!

EDIT: Solved. Hold down SHIFT while pressing Side, Front and Top. Thank you BlenderWiki.
Took me an hour to figure out …
Both CTRL and SHIFT works on Windows, but they work differently:
SHIFT works only when choosing the view from the menu on the header (ex.: [View] > [Side]).
CTRL works both when using the numpads, and when choosing from the menu.
And, as GreyBeard said, both keys work on Linux. (I haven’t tested, reason: haven’t got Linux at home.)Thanks for all your answers anyway.
And yet again; happy blending!
