I guess, the mesh or vertex is not joined, the subdiv makes it more visible.
You have to join them or make a bridge.

ah my apologies, i realised i gave a pretty bad screenshot, heres another one where a changed the topology a bit but theres still some pinching i cant think of how to get rid of.

It’s a normal edge flow unless you configure the grid with topology modeling :thinking:

but what if i want sharp corners on the inner corners, the purple edges with edge crease, which also caused some upward pinching.

Good catch, I think that may be it. @DY_Fortescue there’s something fishy going on, possibly a duplicate vertex, an edge with 3 or more connected faces, or something else, but the subdiv looks wrong

You won’t be able to change the existing flow because Mean Crease doesn’t hold the edge flow, it’s a wrinkle-pulling role.

Apply Mean Crease to the edge flowing to the left, and the edge that goes down comes up.
But the inner edge can’t be solved.

For improvement, we need to catch the flow to the inside.
