I am new to blender. After playing here and there at modelling and materials, I have tried to use image texture.

But I don’t know how to use image texture. Here is the node editor screenshot, and the result.

How come the rendered result is uniform color? The image is not of uniform color. I guess this is because of it only show a small portion of the image (1 pixel?). Is there anyway to use image texture “properly”? Thank for any advice.

You either need to add a texture coordinate node and attach the generated socket , or you need UV unwrap the plane.
