Question about mesh access

Hello Blenderartists!
I have another question today.
Is there a method of accessing the polygons which surround (the immediate ones) the current polygon, or (if failing that) a method of finding the polygons in which a given vertex belong.

  1. Sorry for answering with just a stupid Workaround.
  2. How about selecting a Poligon, pressing Ctrl+[+] and then deselecting the first Polygon manually?

Ah, but this is in game;)
