is there a way to make an object not have a reflection while other around it still having theirs?
Give it a non-mirrored material. I gather by your question that you are a newbie – I think the mistake you made is to add new meshes while in edit mode making one large object all with the same material (select verts and p separate selected) or you have the same material assigned to all your objects (add a new material).
No not that. I have 2 objects and a reflective floor. I don’t want one of the of the object’s reflections to appear on the floor, but i want to keep the second objects reflection.
oops – misunderstood, click the traceable button in the shaders tab in the material buttons window.
