question about rigging

Is there a “best way” to rig a char or mesh or is it all personal preference? Im talking about B-bone or lines or the default bones. Or does it depend on what your applying the bones to? I really want to create a rig but I don’t want to learn the wrong way.

I think that the rigify addon is a good way for learning rigging ; it’s easy to use and it allows you to quickly get an efficient rig.
