this might be a simple question for everyone here. i’m making a butterfly. i used a bezier curve to make the wings one single face so i could import a file from gimp of the wings is there a special way to project texture on a bezier curve. no matter what i do to the image i can not seem to get the wing picture from gimp on my blender wing. it always shows up rotated wrong way on wings. i try to save it rotated differently in gimp to compensate it still doesn’t work. so when i do that i use the rotate in the map image tab but still wont rotate right way.
try converting your curve to a mesh
(Alt C)
then you can UV map the image to the wing the way you want (no need to rotate and save in gimp)
here a basic mapping tutorial
