Hi, Is it true you cannot add a tree made with Geometry nodes to a particle system but you have to add it using Geometry Nodes?
Add a resize instances node at the end of your geometry nodes tree, then it will work
Hi, thanks. I searched and no “Resize” instances node only a “realize” instances node. Is it called “Scale” instances node per chance?
ah that was a typo, I meant Realize Instances
Hi, I am trying to add this “geometry node” tree to a regular particle system.
- I created a plane and gave it a particle system and set the particles to “Hair”.
- I then used the “geometry node” tree as an particle object.
- The above scene is my result.
- joseph hansen said I can make a geometry node object (the tree) work with a regular particle emitter if I add a “realize Instances” node to the nodes of the geometry node tree. I tried it but the leaves are missing (see image above).
Does anyone know if it is even possible to add a Geometry node tree to an plane using a particle system modifier? This sounds encouraging but I need some help to set this up so it works if it’s even possible at all.
