Question: Can You Move Blender Objects From One File To Another?

Hi, my question is: can you move one Blender object, like a cube, from one Blender file to another? I have a project in mind that I want to do but since I’m new to Blender I’m learning the basics right now but I still want to make a few object which will be in my project, if I make a fighter plane in one blender file and make the pilot in another can I then move the pilot into the fighter plane file? If you’re making a whole scenario with a large amount of objects you wouldn’t make them in just one Blend file would you? Or would you use layers?

Shift+F1 to append data from one blend into your current blend file

Similarly you can " Link the object to your file " but in most cases append would be better I think.
