QUESTION: Getting A Random Value between 0.0 and 1.0?

My last question didn’t get answered, so maybe a simpler one:

It should be pretty self explanatory, but I would just like to know if there is anyway to have a code that picks a random value between 0 and 1. In the context of scaling an object.

bpy.ops.transform.resize(value=(0.75, 0.75, 0.75))

I want all three “0.75” values to pick a random number between 0 and 1.

Thank you to all who reply!

Try churning “python random number” into google.

Thanks! That’ll be my first option from now on.

random() -> x in the interval [0, 1].

>>> random.random()
0.6121738831863374

uniform(self, a, b)

Get a random number in the range [a, b) or [a, b] depending on rounding.

>>> random.uniform(0,1)
0.7316250498376613
