Sorry to be long winded but----
I am getting a handle on Blender but I’m wondering if I can accomplish a my project as envisioned.Namely a large area (boatyard) with many seperate objects, some animated, that are highly detailed.
I used C4D and VRWorx many years ago to accomplish a similar project, but unfortunately those tools are to expensive to re-aquire or have gone out of business. I was able to generate a VRMl object (combined vertical and horizontal panos) that I could use a viewer like Cortina, to walk around within. In addition I had ‘hot spots’ that would allow the viewer to select and go to other vrmls with much more detail. Basically linked VRML’s.
I’m hopeful that I can accomplish the same thing with Blender. Some of the Architecture viz I’ve seen gets close but does not allow viewer control of the camera. Is there a way to do this?
I’d like not to have to go to the game engine approach, as I’m not sure how fast it would be in handling the high poly content.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a plugin that can do the object panos?
Does anybody recall VRWorx and know of a current equivalent?
A cry for help echoing in the wilderness–:o
