I am currently modelling a human, starting from his head. To create the hair, I copied the faces from where the hair should grow into a new object, and then applied the particles.
Problem is, although the hair looks realistic enough for my noob skills, the hair also goes through the head ears and headphone (different objects). Is there any parameter to make Blender check for particle collision with objects, or any other way to prevent the hair from going through other objects?
Well there is a way. You can use weight paint to tell where the particles are “growing” from. Just add a vertex group and use the weight paint tool. I read a tutorial about that a few days ago… I’ll see if I find it somewhere
