Questions about Smartphone model.. screen/digitizer

So the phone im maing has an underscreen camera.

Which means to be perfectly accurate, the glass needs to be a layer of its own over the digitizer/screen which will house the camera cutout.

Now, how do i proceed? Do i just make 2 layers? The first layer being glass with solidify modifier for some thickness and below that the actual screen where the emission texture will appear?

Also, should there be some gap between the inside face of the glass and the digitizer face? or should they touch? But if they do, wouldnt there be shading errors?

Yes, add an outer screen with a bit of thickness, and glass.
Under that add or duplicate the Glass and make the Screen out of that It doesn’t need thickness, but won’t hurt anything if it does ( for Realisum I would say make it the same as the Glass) drop it Below the screen with a very small space between them…yes , if they touch you will get shading problems

yes tried it myself it works.

however, the underscreen isnt really glass is it?

Should it be metallic?

The nodes I showed are the under-screen, with some roughness ( you don’t want it to reflect and fight with the glass or be metallic for the same reason) It is the Color of the emissive that gives you some glow and makes it stand out under the glass. That is the way I have done it, the same goes for monitors or TV.
