Questions

Hi there and welcome to Blender Artists :tada: ,
It would be great if you could provide some more details, such as what you want to create. But I can give you a starting point here.

There are lots of great tutorials both free and paid, I would recommend starting by looking at some basic YouTube Blender tutorials. Lot’s of people start with the Blender Guru Donut tutorial which is
OK, although there are better tutorials out there but their is lots of support available for it.

I have put together a post here on Blender Artists with some Blender Resources from beginner to advanced. The best Blender resources - #3 by Withers99

I have also linked below some good tutorials that help to teach you the absolute basics:

Whatever tutorial you end up doing, I would recommend finding something recent for Blender 5.0 or a recent 4.0 version, since there isn’t much point learning an old version of Blender.

What specs are your computer just out of interest, so I can advise you on what your PC can handle?

Below I have put some general advice on using the Blender Artists forum:

If you ever need any help feel free to post in the Support category, if you need any assistance with using the Blender Artists platform you can post in Blender Artists Website Support , or if your query requires privacy message one of the moderators.

I would recommend reading about the discourse trust levels (https://blog.discourse.org/2018/06/understanding-discourse-trust-levels/ ), since it helps you to understand the limitations of new user accounts (don’t worry, you can level up your trust level easily by using the site.) As it explains in the article most users are TL0-TL2, there are some TL3 users known as regulars. TL3 users have additional privileges, such as being able to change the title, add categories, add tags, and mark solutions on any post. TL3 is the only trust level that can be lost by not using Blender Artists regularly. There are also TL4 users who are similar to moderators, but cannot access user information, they can only moderate posts and don’t have the power to change user details.

If you haven’t already, I would also recommend taking a look at the Blender Artists tutorials, you should have had a private message from @discobot , but if not you can start one by @ mentioning @discobot in any thread. If you message @discobot display help, it can list the tutorials that it can display.
